1-1-1: Build Your Identity

1 visual, 1 idea, and 1 question for this week.

Happy Thursday!

Here are 1 visual, 1 idea, and 1 question to explore this week.

VISUAL OF THE WEEK

THE BIG IDEA

Most people try to change their life by chasing results.

Lose the weight. Hit the revenue goal. Launch the project.

All outcomes. All focused on what you want.

But the people who actually make it stickk, they don’t just chase results. They build identity.

Instead of saying “I want to read 20 books,” They say, “I’m a reader.” Then they prove it by picking up the book today. Even if it’s just for 5 minutes.

They’re not chasing some future version of themselves. They’re acting in alignment with who they already believe they are.

This shift sounds subtle. But it changes everything. Goals can be missed. Habits can fade. But your identity, who you are, is what sticks. When your actions are rooted in who you see yourself as, they carry more weight. It’s no longer just what you’re doing. It’s who you’re being.

Think of it like a feedback loop:

Identity → Behavior → Evidence → Reinforced Identity

The more you act in alignment with the person you want to become, the more you believe it, the easier it is to keep showing up that way.

It’s not about massive action. It’s about small wins that build proof.

Tiny actions. Big alignment.

The mistake most people make is waiting for the outcome to confirm the identity.

They want the six-pack before they call themselves an athlete. They want the bestseller before they call themselves a writer.

But it works the other way around.

Act like it’s already true. Then build the evidence.

WEEKLY QUESTION

If your daily actions were the only evidence, who would they say you are?
